Tree Climbing Level 1-4

This training is provided by Arboristklättring AB.
Our course in professional tree climbing is aimed for everyone, regardless of previous experience. The course leads on to higher levels at Arboristklattring.se. All courses are held in the forest, where we have good opportunities to learn in practice. Participants do not use chainsaws until level 2 training.

Goal(s) of the training
The aim of the level 1 course is to introduce the participants to the use of climbing equipment and the use of throwing lines etc. Also rescue of distressed climbers. Level 2-4 you will learn different equipment skills, climbing and cutting techniques, tree biology, advanced rigging and more advanced rescues of climbers in distress.

Targeted skills
Depending on level the student will be able to:
– Review of all climbing equipment (advantages/disadvantages, safety, requirements)
– Use of throwing line and cambium saver
– Latest double and single rope techniques
– Theoretical training in tree crown pruning
– Rescue of distressed climbers
– Knots
– PPE
– Climbing with spike shoes
– Handling chainsaws in trees
– Different pruning techniques
– Tree biology
– Pruning, felling and disembarking of large deciduous trees

Location:
The courses can be organized throughout the Nordic region. For the courses at our “base camp” in Ljungbyhed, Sweden. You can choose to spend the night in our cabin for an extra cost when you book the course. The teaching takes place in the forest.

Language(s):
The course is primarily held in Swedish and Danish but can also be provided in English if needed.
